Criminal Justice Mentors
The Justice Employability Mentor Programme was designed to improve the lives of service users within North Ayrshire Justice Services by providing one to one support and advocacy.
The project aims to offer advice about local training and employability support services to encourage service users to build on their individual capacity, and routes into employment.
The Employability Mentors have produced their first annual newsletter providing an update on the work undertaken over the last year.
An important part of our programme is to help our clients tackle life issues, such as financial worries, benefit issues and mental wellbeing. We refer clients to well known and respected partners to guide clients through solutions.
One of the greatest achievements our clients work towards is stable, fulfilling employment. It lets them rebuild their lives and move away from an offending lifestyle. Last year 10 of our clients did just that.
