Discover Childminding Online Information Session

Have you ever considered becoming a childminder?

The Scottish Childminding Association (SCMA) is hosting a series of free online information sessions for anyone interested in exploring a rewarding career in childminding.

These sessions will provide an introduction to childminding, explain the support available to help you get started, and offer the opportunity to ask questions and hear from experienced professionals.

What you'll learn

During the session, you'll find out about:

• The process of becoming a registered childminder
• The support available from the Scottish Childminding Association
• One-to-one guidance from a dedicated SCMA Workforce Officer
• Free online training opportunities
• A £750 business start-up grant available to eligible new childminders
• How childminding can provide a flexible and rewarding career

You'll also have the opportunity to speak with SCMA's knowledgeable team and hear how childminding has worked for others.

Session dates and times

All sessions are delivered online and are free to attend.

• Monday 22 September 10am to 11am
• Tuesday 23 September 7pm to 8pm
• Friday 26 September 10am to 11am
